Company pumps $24,000 in community projects

The Bomarts Company Limited, a pineapple firm at Ankwah-Doblo near Nsawam in the Akuapem South District is to spend 24,000 US dollars for developmental projects for three farming communities in the Ga West District.

The Director of the company, Mr. Anthony Botchwey, told the GNA that 4,000 US dollars would be used for the rehabilitation of a clinic at Obom and its surrounding area where the firm has established pineapple farms.

Mr. Botchwey said the people of Akotiaku and Mmaapehia would also benefit from the construction of a three-classroom block for the kindergarten estimated at 20,000 dollars.

He said scholarship scheme would be established for the children of the workers of the company, especially those at Mmaapehia and Akotiaku.

He said the company also has plans to dig boreholes for the people.
