Countries to participate in Africa Leadership Summit in Accra

The founder and group leader of the David Douglas leadership forum, Mr. David Douglas has described peace as a fragile flower that needs to be nurtured constantly.

He noted that in Africa the importance of peace among individuals, groups, communities and countries cannot be over-emphasized in our quest to achieve sustainable development goals to enhance the lots of the people.

He described peace, investment, tourism and development as close allies, adding, “a peaceful society provides a healthy socio-economic environment for business and people to flourish, leading to sustainable development.”

Mr. Douglas said these in Accra, at a leadership summit, organized by David Douglas leadership forum in partnership with the office of the Ga, Mantse, King Fackie Teiko Tsuru II, President of the, Ga Traditional Council.

According to him, the primary aim of the summit was to foster collaboration and identify investment opportunities, and tourism potentials, that can drive economic growth, job creation and overall community development.

He observed this year’s event is expected to be the largest with more countries in Africa, such as South Africa, Mali, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo and the Republic of Benin participating.

The summit is expected to underscore the vital role of leadership in championing peace and community development, thus encouraging all to participate.
