Two persons drown in one village one dam, another murdered at Tempane District

Two persons in Tempane on Saturday 23rd March 2024 drowned in a one village one dam at Tempane District in the Upper East Region.

The Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Adam Asaana confirmed the incident to this reporter.

In an telephone conversation, he said a boy aged 11 was first drown in one of the dams in Tuboung.

He noted that the youth in the community and NADMO officials conducted a rescue mission and in the process one young man age 30 also drowned.

The bodies of the deceased were later found and have been released to the police for preservation.

Another found dead
Gagbiri community in the Tempane district has been hit with grief this morning, Sunday, March 24, where a 25-year-old man was found dead by the roadside.

There were multiple cuts all over the body suspecting a foul play.

The body has since been taken to Garu Presbyterian Hospital by police for further investigations.

Reports say one person has been picked up by police in connection with the murder.
