NPP primaries: ‘You showed maturity’ — Kwame Sefa Kayi to Ralph Agyapong

Ralph Agyapong, brother of Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, displayed maturity after a closely contested race against the incumbent MP, Francis Asenso Boakye, who also serves as the Works and Housing Minister.

The primary in the Bantama Constituency saw strong competition, culminating in a decisive victory for Asenso Boakye.

The incumbent MP secured an impressive 650 votes representing 78.22% of the total votes cast.

On the other hand, Ralph Agyapong garnered 181 votes, representing 21.78% of the overall votes.

Despite the loss, Ralph Agyapong gracefully conceded defeat and extended congratulations to Asenso Boakye for his triumph in the primary.

Agyapong's sportsmanship and reaction to the election results earned him praise from various quarters.

Ace Journalist and the host of Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' morning show, Kwame Sefa Kayi, commended Ralph Agyapong for the maturity he exhibited during and after the primary.

Sefa Kayi acknowledged Agyapong's concession and highlighted the importance of such sportsmanship in political contests.
