NPP Flagbearership Race: Market Queen Mothers pick forms for Alan Kyerematen

A group of market Queen Mothers from Accra and Kumasi on Thursday, May 31, picked the nomination form for former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen to contest in the flagbearer race of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Kyerematen adds to the number of party loyal folks that have picked up the forms to contest in the party's presidential primary election.

Speaking to the media, Nana Abena Serwaa Comfort, Tomato Hemaa at the central market in Kumasi, said she and her colleagues contributed to picking up the forms for Alan Kyerematen.

Adding that this is a way of showing their appreciation for all the immense help received from Mr. Kyerematen, especially at the time of the fire outbreak at the Kumasi Central Market.

Madam Serwaa noted that many market women since Mr. Kyerematen became Trade Minister saw improvement in their trade thanks to his aid and thus they believe the country will benefit from his hard work if he becomes president.

"On behalf of myself and my colleague queens, I want to say thank you. You have done a lot for us since you became Trade and Industry Minister. As we promised to make a contribution and pick the forms on your behalf, we are here to fulfill our promise."

She emphasised that "This is the time for Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen. We believe that his time has overdue and we will like to delegates to vote for him on November 4th."
