NPP gov’t has stolen money to the extent that there is none to steal - Nii Lante Vanderpuye

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ododododiodio Constituency, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of emptying the public purse through stealing.

In an allegation, the MP belonging to the Minority side in Parliament said government officials no longer have any money to steal.

“They have stolen the monies to the extent that there is none to steal,” Nii Lante Vanderpuye said over the weekend.

The Member of Parliament for Ododododiodio Constituency made the claim on Sunday, May 28, during a vigil held by residents of Assin Bereku for former Assin North MP James Gyakye Quayson.

Nii Lante Vanderpuye is of the view that the NPP government will now switch to stealing from the funds secured from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In his engagement with the people of Assin, he noted that when the NPP attempts to deceive them by offering money, they should take the money, spend it, but vote against the government in the 2024 general election.

“Now, they have gone for IMFs money. They are bringing it to spend. They will bring it here to deceive you.

“The money belongs to Ghanaians, when they bring it, take it and spend it,” Nii Lante Vanderpuye said.
