Economic challenges: NPP has perform well despite global challenges - Women organiser

The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been described as a party just interested in amassing wealth for themselves as compared to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) known to be people's centered.

Central Regional NPP Women organiser, Madam Charlotte Adwoa Antwi was of the view the NPP has a track record of initiating policies and programmes that improve the lives of Ghanaians.

Speaking at a breast cancer and treatment retreat by the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese women's wing of the party over the weekend, the Regional Women Organiser mentioned the construction of the ultra-modern market, roads, clinic and other projects as some of the achievements of the Akufo-Addo led government.

Madam Adwoa Antwi emphasised that many women have benefited from some of these policies in order to support their activities while others have also received financial support to enable those unemployed to start any business of their choice.

Despite admitting to the current economic woes, she assured Ghanaians of a bright future as President Akufo-Addo and his appointees are working hard to get Ghana out of the woods.

"I know we are not in normal times but I will urge Ghanaians to remain resolute in the NPP because President Akufo-Addo and his team are doing their best to redeem Ghana from the current global economic crises," she stated.

The Asebu-Abura-Kwamankese Women organiser on her part encouraged women to take advantage of the numerous government's interventions to improve their livelihoods.

She indicated the constituency has got its fair share of the national cake and urged the women's wing to support in propagating the achievement of government.

The Constituency Chairman Mr. Obed Aquah Quansah also touched on the party's preparedness towards the 2024 elections as the NPP is poised to break the '8'.
