Are Africans created to be poor and slaves in the midst of plenty in their own countries?

Looking at myself and my African compatriots, I wonder if we were not created by God to be poor and slaves on our own land. I can’t really get it why and how Africans are so poor and have consciously shackled themselves by attitudinal problems to culminate in holding themselves slaves on their own continental African land.

Most of us black Africans, if not in our entirety, are so myopic to accept as normal the behaviour of having what we can eat today, while leaving tomorrow to care for itself as admonished in the bible.

We don’t plan for tomorrow but choose to live by the day, allowing fate to take its natural course in our lives, instead of bending fate to suit us as does the white man.

When we happen to get a farsighted leader, which occurrence happens once in a blue moon, we plot, or connive with foreigners, to either remove them from power or kill them. Take the cases of the late ex-President Dr Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana and the late first Prime Minister of Democratic Republic of Congo, Patrice Émery Lumumba, for examples.

They were both eliminated by the folly and act of short-sightedness by their own African compatriots acting in collusion with some white leaders.

Ghana currently has a visionary leader with best long term policies and programmes to lift the country out of her despicable nothingness into a respectable state of self-sufficiency or economic abundance, yet many a Ghanaian devoid of patience and endurance wants him out. Some are even praying he is removed from power by the soldiers. How stupid can Ghanaians be?

The farsighted Ghanaian president, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, knows very well that it is only through almost every Ghanaian acquiring formal education and or, technical/vocational skills that any country in this contemporary world can experience socio-economic advancement. Subsequently, he has introduced educational policy and programme of free Senior High School, widening the net to permit many Ghanaians from both rich and poor family backgrounds to go to school.

Education is the key to unlocking one’s hidden unlimited potentials to benefit the society they find themselves in, or to benefit the world. However, his political opponents, especially former president John Dramani Mahama, are rubbishing it. They are shamelessly energetically tolling its death knell.

Again, a country with food security, or food self-sufficiency, stands the better chance of capably withstanding external economic shocks. With this in mind, the NPP government has implemented a flagship agricultural policy of “Planting for Food and Jobs”. Nevertheless, the clueless malevolent John Mahama and his equally knowledge-deficient NDC members and their agents and assigns, are attacking the policy left, right and centre.

Forests help with rainfall and aid human survival on earth through the oxygen the trees produce for our breathing and the carbon dioxide they absorb. Rivers provide us with water for drinking, cooking and bathing. Land (fertile/arable land) provides humans with the medium to cultivate food and cash crops for our survival and sustainability on earth.

Notwithstanding, we have illegal surface and alluvial mining (galamsey) aggressively ongoing in Ghana, wreaking unprecedented irreparable damage to the ecology, spoiling the mentioned essential factors for human lives.

The president has robustly been tackling that destructive small scale or illegal mining only for his efforts to be derailed by the NDC John Dramani Mahama to the detriment of Ghana and her citizens.

The few mentioned deplorable attitudes by Ghanaians that are seen to intentionally obstruct our progress as a people and a nation, go to prove that we ourselves are the cause of our downfall as a people and a nation. It is not any white man who is doing that to ensure Ghana or Africa does never develop.

John Dramani Mahama by his selfishness, insatiable greediness, short-sightedness and silly craving for power, hence fabricating and spearheading lies directed at causing public disaffection for the president and his NPP government to get them voted out to bring him in, goes to confirm how the Ghanaian is his own devil.

This problem in Ghana is not unique to her but all the countries in Africa. If so, are we not making Africa remain poor for ever with Africans held as slaves on their own land?

Now in Ghana, like many African countries, if not all, the Chinese are taking over the lands and doing whatever nonsense they like that natives cannot do without being prosecuted and sentenced by court to either a fine or jail term.

The Chinese are into robust but devastating galamsey activities in Ghana. The politics in the country coupled with the high and ramifying official corruption, is making it difficult to stop them.

Are our pastors and prophets not making matters worse? They encourage their congregations to attend church services and consultations 24 hours a day and 7 days a week (24/7).

Apart from the huge profitable man hours lost every day, costing the nation millions of Cedis when computed into productivity and earnings, some of the pastors and prophets are alleged to be murderers as per Demon Breaker, Manasseh and Obotan, former Ghanaian pastors.

It is scary the rate Ghanaians or Africans are deliberately by their acts of selfishness, stupidity, insatiable greed, collusion and dirty politicking, causing themselves to remain perpetually poor and slaves in their own countries.

No, we need to rise up to fight the demons within us, not by prayer but physically accepting the truth and doing the right things.
