Tinkong Chief appeals for SHS in his area

The Chief of Tinkong, Nana Wontumi Topra iv has appealed to the Ministry of Education through the Akuapem North District Director of Education to help build a Senior High School in his area.

The town which is surrounded by five (5) Junior High Schools with about 14 villages is faced with the challenge of students not being able to continue their education after the JHS education.

Nana Wontumi Topra iv said this when he handed over a two-seater toilet facility to the Presby Primary and JHS school.

He said “most parents in this area are not able to send their wards to SHS because they are peasant farmers. It will be very easy if we have a day school which would be very easy to have our young children attain further education”.

The Chief who has started some developmental projects such as a market and an ultramodern Police station appealed for more support to help the town reach the status it deserves.
