Jean Mensa has not traveled outside the country - EC

The Electoral Commission has rubbished reports suggesting that its Chairperson Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensa has fled the country.

According to rumours circulating on social media, the EC boss has traveled out of the country after her pronouncement of President Akufo-Addo as President-elect at the end of the December 7 polls.

In a bid to set the records straight, the Electoral Commission has through a statement emphasized that Mrs Jean Mensa is in the country and carrying out her duties as the chairperson for the Commission.

“We wish to state that Mrs Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, as well as all the Commissioners are at post discharging their legally mandated duties,” a statement from the EC has said today.
