We Prefer Sakawa Government To I did not kill President Mills, Trust Me

He needs to look at the proverbial man in the mirror, anytime that Candidate John Dramani Mahama gets tempted to call the Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) “A Sakawa Government” (See “Akufo-Addo Gov’t Is ‘Sakawa’ – Mahama” Modernghana.com 11/25/20). This is unarguably the crude and uncouth language of a desperate politician who cannot inform Ghanaians about the murky circumstances under which his former boss and immediate predecessor lost his life. Yes, it is only a Sakawa Politician whose best answer to the suspicious death of his former boss is curtly and furtively as follows: “I did not kill President Mills.”

Well, then, Little Dramani had better tell us, the residents of the global Ghanaian community, precisely who killed the retired University of Ghana’s Associate Professor of Law. Who knows? The SADA Scam-Artist may even know the criminal masterminds behind the grisly murder of Prof. Emmanuel Yaw Benneh. Little Dramani needs to get serious and tell Ghanaian voters precisely how many sustainable jobs the supervisor of the Akufo-Addo-dissolved erstwhile Unemployed Graduates Association (UGA), which was created as a direct result of the woeful inability of the previous Mahama-led government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to create jobs with livable wages and salaries for the country’s most talented and able-bodied youths.

Little Dramani also needs to get serious and tell Ghanaian voters precisely how many sustainable jobs he created during his Dumsor-inflected 4½-year tenure at the Presidency, and stop pretending as if the good and hardworking people of Navrongo, in the Upper-East Region, have no minds and consciences of their own to determine which of our two major Presidential Candidates has their best interests and aspirations at heart. At least, the man who destroyed more jobs than any other Fourth-Republican President was able to point to the Akufo-Addo-created NABCO as a significant job-creating establishment, even while also laughably accusing Nana Akufo-Addo of having caused more than 10,000 job losses in the banking sector which, by the way, Little Dramani criminally bankrupted with the kleptocratic members of his relatives, friends, northern-descended tribesmen and family government.

I have absolutely no sympathy for Groupe Nduom’s megalomaniacal proprietor, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, who, by the way, inadvisably railroaded himself by choosing politics over the growth, development and success of his legions of business enterprises in the country and even right here in the United States. In elementary economics, there is something called “Opportunity Cost,” which roughly translates into “Just as you make your bed, so shall you lie on the same,” although I also have a feeling that, just as he has constantly and persistently maintained, some of his banking enterprises may very well have been tactically sabotaged by some of his business rivals and competitors in the present government, some of whose leaders, once upon a time, a carpet-crossing Dr. Nduom self-servingly did business with.

But, of course, it can also be scarcely gainsaid that the man was intimately familiar with both the political and entrepreneurial terrains going in, so he can blame absolutely nobody but himself, just as a lame-duck President Donald John Trump may very soon learn to his horror and shame the hard way that he cannot to dish out poison without being forced to drink his own lethal brew at some point in time and in the process. It also goes without saying that if he had achieved anything worthwhile, the European Airbus-SE Payola Scam-Artist would not be desperately pleading with voters to return him and his impenitent criminal team of double-salary extorting thieves to Jubilee House, so “We can correct our past mistakes.” This is rather absurd because it clearly shows that the National Democratic Congress’ political machine operatives are scandalously out of touch with the reality on the ground, else they would not so cavalierly presume to insult the intelligence of Ghanaian citizens and the electorate.

It is also insultingly clear that the leaders of the National Democratic Congress envisage the Presidency as a training ground for grossly incompetent pathological and perennial political greenhorns like the former Rawlings-appointed Communications Minister. That is the clear-cut choice before levelheaded and civically responsible Ghanaian citizens and voters as they head to the polling booth on December 7. The man who left more than three-quarters of our road contractors unpaid for months and years, now says that he intends to pay all contractors owed arrears by the Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party, the very same government that had to resuscitate a comatose Mahama-bankrupted National Health Insurance Scheme. A typical case of Mr. Naked promising the electorate a bolt of cloth.

As well, Little Dramani could not implement a Fee-Free Senior High School System. Back them, he smugly claimed that this visionary and progressive policy initiative had been tried in several African countries and failed miserably. And that it was only acute desperation that would make any politician promise the same. Now, Little Dramani is promising to significantly improve the quality of food served the very youths whose education his Cash-and-Carry Social Darwinian government could not support. How blasphemously obscene!
