Mckenzie Ghana Applauded For Massive Contribution To COVID-19 Fight

A wholly-owned Ghanaian garment manufacturing company, Mckenzie Ghana Limited, has received lots of commendation from some Christian denominations in Sunyani for its tireless efforts at supporting government in the fight against Covid-19 in the Bono region.

The churches are particularly overwhelmed by the free distribution of thousands nose-masks to health facilities, religious groups, the media, and various categories of people since the outbreak of the disease in the country to augment governments efforts.

The Sunyani-based company has so far made available over 12,000 pieces of re-useable nose-masks and intends to further distribute more to various groups of people in the Bono region and beyond.

Leadership of the Christ the King Cathedral of the Catholic Church, the Wesley Methodist Cathedral, St. Anslem Anglican Chiurch, the Ebenezar Presbyterian Church, the Temple of Praise Church and the Church of Pentecost were unanimous that the company needs to be commended for its king gesture.

They made this statement at separate ceremonies where Mckenzie Ghana Limited presented 300 pieces of re-usable nose masks to each of them in Sunyani.

Nana Kakari Addo, the People’s Warden at the St Anslems Anglican Diocese of Sunyani, noted the contribution of the company towards fighting the COVID-19 in the municipality was overwhelming and par excellence.

The Managing Director of Mckenzie Ghana Mr Michael Asare Yeboah explained the company had so far distributed 12,000 nose masks in the municipality.

He mentioned other beneficiaries as the security agencies, commercial drivers, market women and traders and some public institutions.

Mr Yeboah indicated that the government was spending a lot to contain the COVID-19 in the country and implored the populace to wear the nose masks and comply with all the safety protocols.

He said his company was determined to ensure that all religious bodies in the municipality benefitted from the supply, saying it would distribute more than 5,000 of the masks by the close of the week.
