In a letter dated May 28, 2020,and signed by Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II, Deputy Director-General of the CID.

The letter quoted Mr Mornah as saying "People who are already Ghanaians and registered were going to be taken out of the register, don't you think confusion will come at the registration centre and if it comes, you think the EC staff will be safe?"

He went further to say "you think the EC staff will be safe, we will beat each other, kill each other there if that is what the EC want to lead the nation to".

However upon the arrest, he said that he only cautioned the EC on the confusion that would be created should it go ahead to compile the new voters register.
