Ebony Inspired Me To Do My New Song—Rapper Serr Major

Jeffrey Ofori Brako known by the showbiz name “Serr Major”, is an emerging music artiste and rapper.

He also doubles as a songwriter and is currently promoting his new single titled “Reality”. In an exclusive interview with ModernGhana, the rapper explained that his inspiration for going into music was inspired by the demise of the 90s Bad Girl Ebony Reigns.

“I wrote that rap early last year after her death. The way people were constantly bashing her and calling her names while she was alive and almost immediately started showing love to her after her death marveled me. It made me realise how hypocritical the human race is. We only appreciate you when you are dead”.

Serr Major also added that in recent times it has become very expensive to get married to the love of your life especially taking into consideration the gown, bride price, decoration, etc. that notwithstanding the decision by Rev. Steve Mensah in collaboration with CEM to help couples get married with just GHC 1000 greatly inspired him for the second verse of his song.

Major is part of a music duo 2Kz popularly known for their hit songs “Oluu" and “2Kz LA PRIMARY".

Jeffrey Ofori Brako was born to George and Esther Brako in Kumasi, Ghana. His interest for music led him to sing in church from a young age at Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries. His music career started in Secondary School where he performed on several High School shows such as “Miss SHS”, “XMAS FIESTA” and was also nominated for “MIXTAPE OF THE YEAR” award. He also won the “FAVORITE ARTISTE OF THE YEAR” in High School Entertainments Awards.
