Attack On 9ice's Internet Fraud Song Needless - Management

Communication Director of Temple Management Nigeria, Terfa Tilley Gyado says musician 9ice’s song ‘Living things’ didn’t warrant the controversy it sparked.

9ice who is a signee of Temple Management, earlier this year released ‘Living things’, which received loads of backlash as some Nigerians said the song sought to promote internet fraud.

However, Mr Gyado told JoyNews’ MzGee the song was to inspire personalities who aspire to attain an admirable status in society.

“People are talking about how it is honouring people that are living a fast lifeclass but it is a lot deeper than that.

"9ice is Yoruba and Yoruba culture right from generations has always been about praise, it has always been about glorifying people who are wealthy. People who have lived lives that are very open and that’s literally what it was about”

Mr Gyado said the hostile response ‘Living things’ got was a ‘slight departure’ from 9ice’s type of tunes and that effect added to the success of the song.
