Marina Mall Independence Arts Festival, #MIAFESTIVAL
An artist is not a special kind of person, but each person is a special kind of artist.
With Ghanaians looking forward to the Nations imminent 60th Independence celebrations and milestone, Ghana’s premium shopping destination - MARINA MALL is set to thrill its cherished customers with a fascinating festival of Arts and Crafts.
Marina Mall will mark the Ghana @60 celebrations with an elaborate display of ART’s crafts, and culture by the best of the best in Ghana’s Arts industry thus, showcasing amazing works such as paintings, pencil art, sculptures, costuming, extreme make up, Live art, Drama, Set design, illusion art, traditional dance, acrobatics, fashion, domestic tourism photography and music.
The objective of this grand celebration is to support the growth of Ghana’s creative arts industry whiles giving our customers a special experience to mark the holiday. Participants will have a first-hand experience of the variety of art on display and also the opportunity to network and make purchases.
This celebration is the second of its kind. Dubbed MARINA MALL INDEPENDENCE ARTS FESTIVAL it is produced and managed by OMENT WORLD LTD, an advertising and experiential agency under the theme “OUR HERITAGE, OUR PRIDE”.
The festival starts from Monday 6th March, 2017 and ends on Saturday 11th March, 2017 open from 8am to 8pm each day.
Activity line up for the festival includes an opening ceremony on Monday 6th March at 10am at the food court on the 1st floor, to be hosted by sensational Live 919fm and GH One TV personality Vanessa Gyan.
From Tuesday 7th March to Friday 10th March, there will be a cultural display of Nothern, Ga, Ewe, and Akan drumming and dance ensembles, coupled with other spectacular surprises.
Saturday 11th March, 2017 being the climax will see a Live concert by Ghana’s iconic Rock Band – THE DARK SUBURB.
