ONE OF Ghana's enterprising radio presenters, Seth Apea Apreku Owiredu, has disclosed to the BEATWAVES that he is indeed happy with how his works on radio have inspired many a people in the country.

He also disclosed that joining Pink FM at Kasoa for some time now has been an exciting one because a large number of radio listeners in Kasoa and beyond have fallen in love with his drive time programme, Ofie Ne Fie and his class of presentation.

Known on radio as the Original Otafregya, the ace radio presenter is known for his depth of knowledge and sense of humour.

In addition to his popularity that spans beyond the borders of Accra, Original Otafregya is a smooth talker and has landed several high profile hosting jobs.

The Ofie Ne Fie, which is aired from Monday to Friday on Pink FM, addresses social issues in major communities by giving the platform to callers to share their experiences on selected issues.

Owiredu describes himself as a brilliant young man who is outstanding, outgoing and an admirable person, adding, 'I see myself as a role model because my attitude on radio has drawn me closer to God and the listeners, making me unique in my own way.'

Taking a trip down memory lane, the well-spoken gentleman explained to BEATWAVES that after his first appearance on Swedru FM in 1996, he moved later moved to Radio Central in 1998.

He resigned in 2000 to work briefly with Top Radio and Adom FM before moving to Good News FM in Takoradi.
