Poem: What Next

As Christians continue to increase
And the church room is filled every Sunday
As some overcome
And others fall
As some seek for eternal crown
And others seek theirs here
As the spirit invites souls
And others constantly hardens theirs
As the benediction of every service
Grows fainter and fainter
And your chances of getting saved diminishes
As preaching are heard everywhere everyday
And songs being sung to correct us
As our days are numbered
And the second hand ticks on
As wave been warned
And still being warned
When the choir has sung its last anthem
And the preacher has voiced his last prayer
When the people have heard their last sermon
And no sound is heard all around
When the Bible lies closed on the alter
And the pews are all empty of men
When all stand before the great one
And with great authority starts to speak
When each stands facing his own record
And the great book is opened
