Ghana & Hajj....Part II: The Hardest Truth

Feature Article Ghana Hajj....Part II: The Hardest Truth
NOV 2, 2015 LISTEN

In my previous article, I raised concerns about many issues regarding this year Hajj and I hope it gets to the necessary authority. In this very article, I will emphasize on some of the reasons why our hajj board should be dissolved.

Islam as a religion is for no one but Allah(SWT) and we the practitioners of the religion ought to give the religion the respect it deserves. Why should we sell the dignity of our religion for worldly gains? Why should the innocent and poor Muslim be cheated because they lack knowledge of what’s happening in the regards to the pilgrimage or are victims due to their eagerness to visit the Holy land?

What shall they (leaders) tell the Supreme ruler on the day of reckoning? Have they ever thought of the number of people whose petition will be submitted by Allah himself, this time round, with no lawyer to argue on their behalf? This is shameful and a pity. Nonetheless, I shall still start with my questioning before we meet the Master of the day of Judgement.....hmmmmmmn

To the Hajj committee, there has been splendid rumors about the fairs in regards to this year and last year pilgrimage. Those who I may say, lack proper understanding on what’s happening, will say you did a great job by maintaining same fare, but the question you should provide answers to is why you are able to maintain the fare regardless of the Cedi declining to the Dollar. Or you are saying government or the ruling political party which myself and other Ghanaians saw you praising subsidized the cost? If so, why is it not recorded in the country’s budget? There is foul in the fares and to prove myself wrong or help me understand why its so, please provide Ghanaian Muslims an audit report. A report you shall be accountable for on the day of judgement.

Is our pilgrimage committee a government entity or a private one? If its not private, then the government needs to be accountable for some errors in Her preparations/organization but if it is private, hmmmmn, then I will beseech the authorities and leader of the Muslims in Ghana, to please dissolve the board since they are not working in the interest of Muslims but for themselves and using the venture for politics.

I recall the praise giving to the president for his good job done after he allowed a plane to go for the pilgrims after the one they chartered disappointed them. I don’t know the truth of this story, but if its true, thank you Mr. President for your quickly intervention but a shame to the committee to let an ‘outsider ‘to intervene for them. But what I don’t understand is why a chartered flight will do so? Its of two things; either they were not paid as agreed or its just another basis or foundation for politics. If not so, please sue the flight’s company for not agreeing to their side of the agreement.

We demand answers HAJJ BOARD COMMITTEE..... For Allah’s sake....
