The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, paid a courtesy call on the President of south Korea, Park Geun-Hye, at the Blue house (presidency) last Friday.

President Park Geun-Hye expressed her delight in meeting Nana Akufo-Addo and urged him to persevere in his quest to lead Ghana.

She recounted her own experiences in opposition before she eventually became the President of South Korea.

The President also encouraged sister political parties like the NPP to continue pursuing programmes and policies that are underpinned by conservative values.

Nana Akufo-Addo, on his part, commended the government and people of Korea for their economic transformation which has now made their country a leading industrial power.

With the right leadership, he said, Ghana can effectively emulate Korea and spearhead the rapid transformation of her economy, thereby raising rapidly the living standards of the people.

Nana Akufo-Addo visited the Blue House after attending the just ended International Democrats Union (IDU) Party Leaders' Meeting in Seoul, Korea.

He was accompanied by Paul Afoko, NPP National Chairman; General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong; Deputy Ranking Member of Foreign Affairs, Adwoa Safo; Director of International Affairs, Charles Owiredu and Francis Asenso- Boakye, Political Assistant.
