Sunset At Seashore A Flash Fiction
10.12.2013 LISTEN

He was Edmond, a short but ruggedly handsome African-American who worked in India. She was an Indian, Zenia by name, an exceptional beauty. Tall, streamline-shaped; endowed with travelling hips, enchanting bust, inviting lips and flowing raven hair. A newscaster follows her everywhere she goes; that newscaster was her pretty face for she announces her sublime beauty to anyone, everyone within her perimeter of influence.

Yes she had facial tourism as her foreign exchange earner. She was a nurse; he took ill so the stage was set and they met. They fell in love but being a strict professional she froze the voice of her heart, padlocked the roving thoughts in her mind and repressed her wandering feelings. His love wasn't reciprocated so he felt bad!

The praying mantis didn't forget to pray for them because she knew the love between them was stronger than that between Romeo and Juliet.

He was finally discharged. Two days later he was transferred to the US. She became too restless and a year later she resigned and left for the US in search of her love. Incidentally, they met the fateful night Edmond wanted to propose marriage to his fiancée, Charlotte – an American. He instantly abandoned his plans. Six months later they were married.

They had a handsome wedding and an awesome marriage.
