Investigate Ernest Koranteng & Primeva Consult for fraud and deceit

Corruption, bribery and fraud have gradually become acceptable norm in Ghana. Most Ghanaians openly committe these crimes without any sense of been arrested, prosecuted or protecting their morals and family name.

And these stem from the fact that,the president, ministers of state, public officials ,political appointees have all been mentioned with one corruption case or the other, but in Africa if you are not caught and cannot prove it you are not guilty thereby giving them more power to corrupt the more at the expense of the ordinary citizens.

I have a friend who used to officiate premier league matches in Ghana, once told me he has a lot of regret for travelling abroad, because he was making almost $300.00 every Sunday, when the league is in session from bribes collected from the club. He was not boosting but just telling me basic facts about how corrupt the sport fraternity was. In American as a citizen you dare not offer the law enforcer a bribe and neither will he or she attempt to take one from you because it becomes a federal offence and each is liable to a 10years jail time . There are fraudsters in American but they know when they are caught they will be dealt with according to the law which does not respect anyone.

The mayor of the city in which I live decided to stand for election to senate but his wife of over 30 years was arrested for drunk driving and that was the end to his senate race, definetely not in Ghana.

.A recent case was when the referee in the center of a match involving Dwarfs and another team in the division one admitted before the probe that they were bribed by both teams and because he did not have anywhere to keep the bribe, money the linesman kept almost the NG 400.00 in his sock while officiating . I listen to the committees report read by OKAY FM Sports discussion last weekend, I almost wept because of the findings of the committee.

Within the last 30 days the former President Rawlings has on three different NDC platforms, complained about corruption which deep within his own party and that should be a source of concern not just for his party but the whole country. What Ghana needs is a leader who is not corrupt ,who has not been corrupt and who will not be corrupt to give us a fresh image, because the corruption and the fraudulent activities has eaten into every

Ernest Koranteng, the disgraced and dismissed sports broadcaster of Joy FM and Lawrence Opare-Otoo, CEO of Primeva Consult, the organiser of the Jones Attuquayefio Charity/Testimonial match played June 29 2012 to raise funds to help with the treatment of the celebrated coach's throat cancer and the ENT, are alleged to have kept a large portion of the funds for themelves thereby taking undue advantage of the illing coach.

According to the Ghana News Agency [GNA] interview, the coach has only received NG 1,000.00 from Primeva since June while Ernest Koranteng kept some money for himself. What a cruelty and these are the persons refered to as GREEDY BASTARDS. they have defrauded by false pretences .

As a trained journalist I feel ashame and embarassed about the fact that Koranteng with all his ethical training and standards kept part of the funds he was helping raised for himself. His former employers Joy FM ,should not have let him go ,having investigated him and admitted keeping part of the money but handed him over to the law until he prove his innocent of the deceit activity.

Opare-Otoo who doubles as the owner of Primeval Consult and the disgrace journalist Koranteng should be handed over to the law enforcement agency for prosecution for deceit of the Ghanaian public and fraud. These two are following ,what is unofficial but accepted norm by officialdolm.

Considering the contribution of Sir Ceil Jones Attuquayefio to Ghana sports, especially football should prompt Ghanaians to call for their prosecution to serve as detriment to others who are contemplating of doing same. Thses people raised the sick coach's morals so high that in an emotional thanks he stated" in my long years as a player, administrator and a coach never has the nation shown me love like this day " only to disappoint him while a few people enrich themselves by using him.. I believe his family or some Human Rights lawyers can ake up the case forthe sick coach but we are all hearing and looking unconcern for these Ernest and Lawrence to enjoy their booty. What is the difference between this day light robbery and the pickpocket

This calls for Bureau of National Investigation [BNI] and the law enforcement agency to do a little more investigation for the sake of the coach and the get him what he is due from the people who used him. They should not only pursue political opponents but citizens with questionable characters

The President of Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantekyi,who should be leading the crusade is alleged to have acted in collaboration with Primeval consult in organising the charity/testimonial match, therefore where will be Nyantekyi moral to lead Ghanaians to flush such personalities from the system or to hand over these guys because they could be charge with assesories, because their facility and association was used to facilitate the fraud.

Mike Nii Abossey who works for Primeva Consult and the Director of GFA Communication Ibrahim Sannie Darra was present at one of the press confab preceding the match giving credibility to the company who turn out to deceive the coach and Ghanaians in general.

The fraud and deceit is so deep that the authorities should investigate how much of the funds went to the Ear,Nose and Throat Department of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for which Jones pleaded with the organisers to help.

The whole testimonial match was a well orchestrated and fraudently plan to use the coach to deceive Ghanaians into contributing towards a worthy cause.

The Old Players Association of Ghana should also compel Opare-Otoo to account for the fund raiser he organised for them.

The facts are Ernest Koranteng and Opare-Otoo used the celebrated coach Jones Attuquyefio with the view to raised funds to help him take care of his treatment for his throat cancer but they ended up keeping the bigger portion to themselves with the retired coach getting only NG1000 which is an insult to this celebraty who has sacrifice all his adult life serving mother Ghana. This is a day light robberyand fraud and this is reason why am calling for their prosecution.There was a connivance between the two and that is the reason each is keeping part of the funds. They should be made accountable to Ghanaians what was their expenses and how much profit came to them and why the coach in whose honor the match was played received only NG 1000.

On August 3 2012 carried a story that Joy FM has raised NG 7,000.00 for the legend with other contributions from men of integrity like the Minister for Communication ,Haruna Iddrisu, Togbe Afede , Randy Abbey,Kennedy Agyepong,Ernest Thompson,Kwame Sefa Kayi,Harry Zakkour among others. There were other members of Black Stars including, Asamoah Gyan, Derek Boateng, Anthony Annan, John Boye and Jerry Akaminko who parted with hard earn currencies.

Among the clubs were ,Liberty Professions, Olympics and Hearts also contributed. I remember very well the current coach of the Black Stars Kwesi Appiah and his assistant Maxwell Konadu contributed among them NG 3000.00 towards the treatment of the coach for for these money hungry sports broadcaster and shaddy and dubious businessman to rob Jones and the ENT of his only hope to get treatment ,while the department could have utilise some of the funds to improve infrastructure and logistics.

People with shaddy characters should be discourage from defrauding Ghanaians. Am really calling on the authorities to investigate, Primeva Consult, disgraced Ernest Koranteng and the GFA to cough up what was due the coach and the ENT.On the continent on which I live such fraud or deceit of the people to enrich oneself, is treated as a federal offence and all it needed is for a citizen to raise a concern and a law or FEDS will take over.

Am also hoping one of Human Rights Attorneys and public defenders like, Egbert Faibille,Atta Akyea, Effah Dartey ,Ndebugre, Joe Ghartey, Ayikoi Otoo, and Eddie Annan will take up the case for the coach without any political undertones for its very sympathetic for a few individuals to deceive the whole sport fraternity and get away unpunished. I rest my concern.
