Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, the Majority Leader in Parliament, emphasized the importance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) maintaining consistency in promoting its achievements to the Ghanaian public to secure victory in the upcoming elections.

During a phone interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show on Monday, March 18, 2024, Hon. Afenyo-Markin stressed the need for the party to effectively convey the significant progress made by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration across various sectors of the economy.

He highlighted that failure to communicate these achievements could hinder the party's chances of securing another term.

Afenyo-Markin emphasized the necessity of boldly and consistently presenting the party's successes to the public, stating, "Breaking the 8 requires a bold, consistent communication of our success stories."

The Effutu lawmaker emphasized the importance of showcasing the NPP's superior performance compared to the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government while addressing recent controversies surrounding remarks on the NDC's succession plan and the age of its running mate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

Afenyo-Markin clarified that his focus was not on age but rather on the vision for the future, highlighting Vice President Dr. Bawumia as the future. He stressed the significance of winning the 2024 elections to enable Dr. Bawumia lead the nation forward.
