The General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyepong will be suspended in the coming days, pollster and Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch, Ben Ephson, has claimed.
Mr Ephson told Accra-based Kasap FM on Wednesday Mr Agyepong would be suspended alongside 2nd Vice Chairman of the party, Sammy Crabbe, for engaging actions deemed inimical to the interest of the NPP.
He said comments by Mr Crabbe to the effect that he did not recognise Mr Freddy Blay as the legitimate chairman of the party as unpardonable, adding that he expected he and Mr Agyapong to be shown the door in two weeks.
“If the basis for suspending Afoko is anything to go by, then the political crimes of the two are more than Afoko’s. The party membership card issue for instance will work against Agyepong. If at the EC forum he was able to defy the NEC decision and say Afoko is still the chairman; that is serious,” Mr Ephson stated.
