Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo has revealed that the great performance being exhibited by his players in this year's CAF Confederation Cup is because of the 'Dollar Bonuses' his charges have been receiving as per diems and winning bonuses.
The Phobians have been so impressive in the ongoing competition and on Friday against Djoliba AC from Mali in the first leg tie they won 1-2. The win climaxed their blossom form in the competition.
'If you are working with people who are not determined and not prepared to win, then you are wasting your time,' Herbert Addo said after the game in Mali.
'But my boys have tasted victory and about five of them had never sat in planes before but they have tasted the air, enjoyed it; and tasted a few dollars and have enjoyed it more.
'So they want more dollars, more air and more playing time. I think they are determined and I wish the supporters could follow us everywhere we go, not only during home matches,' he said.
According to him the players have got a lot of confidence and 'we are going all out in the rest of the matches left in the competition'.
Hearts of Oak will face Djoliba AC two weeks time in the second leg fixture in Accra.
