Let Me Go– Inkoom
KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko's dependable right full back, Samuel Inkoom is on his knees, begging the Ghana Champions to let him join FC Barcelona of Spain next season.

He said playing for Barcelona would be a dream-come-true for him, because as he put it, “It is every footballer's vision to play at the highest level, especially with no mean a club than Barcelona”.

Inkoom's ambition of joining the exodus bandwagon seems to be in shambles, following the Kotoko management's recent decision not to release any of their players for trials abroad.

It would be recalled that Harrison Afful's failure to pass similar trials with Feynord Rotterdam of Holland culminated in the decision.

Eric Bekoe has been the first Kotoko player to suffer from the rule when he was stopped at the eleventh hour from emplaning for trials with Hertha Berlin of Germany.

But speaking in a radio interview, Inkoom who does not want to suffer the same fate, passionately pleaded with Kotoko's management not to act as impediments and rather help his smooth transfer to the Spanish club.

According to him, moving to Barcelona would impact positively on his young career, noting that he was even grateful to God for presenting him with such a golden opportunity to showcase his talent at the highest level.

“I foresee that my joining Barcelona will enable me become useful to Kotoko and Ghana in general in future.

“Kotoko especially will make history for nurturing a youngster of my caliber to play at a famous club like Barcelona”.

The Spanish giants, according to reports, spotted the incredible exploits of Inkoom when Ghana trounced Angola 5-1 in an Africa Under-20 Youth Championship duel played at Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra recently.

Since then, Barcelona have continually been on the heels of the talented player for his signature.
