NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
A street fight between two teenagers in the Yendi Municipality, over a 20-year-old lady identified as Kande Mahama, has led to the death of one.

Haruna Abdulai, the suspect, and Sisu Seidu, the deceased, both aged 18, according to the Northern Regional Police Commander, ACP Angwubutoge Awuni, were believed to be dating the same girl.

On the 22nd of June at about 8.00pm, the deceased was chatting with the girl when the suspect allegedly pounced on him. In the ensuing scuffle, Haruna stabbed the deceased, inflicting a fatal wound on him. He was immediately rushed to the Yendi Government Hospital but died on admission.

Both the suspect and the girl have been remanded in police custody to assist in investigations, while the deceased, as at the time of going to press, had been buried in accordance with the Islamic custom.

In another development, the Yendi Divisional Police Command, in collaboration with the Municipal Director of Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Abass Yakubu, has arrested one Senya for forcing his teenage daughter into marriage.

Reports of Mr. Senya's conduct had earlier been reported to CHRAJ and he was called and warned not to sanction the marriage. This however fell on deaf ears, as he forcefully gave out the daughter's hand in marriage.

Police are still investigating the matter and would put the suspect before a Yendi magistrate court later.
