NPP Not Focused For 2016 Elections – Nyaho Tamakloe

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has stated that his party is not well focused for the upcoming general elections.

In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, the former GFA Chairman said he will be surprised if the party's presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is able to win the 2016 Presidential elections.

According to him, the flagbearer of the NPP must recall suspended members of the party including suspended Chairman Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong to show Ghanaians that the NPP is a united front.

"I am not saying they are bound to lose but I am saying, I don't believe the party is well focused with this great election.

"First and foremost, all those so-called suspended from the party particularly the Chairman and the General Secretary should be recalled including Sammy Crabbe and then we start from a clean slate…I believe strongly that if they are recalled, these are serious people and they will not sit down unconcerned. They will contribute their quota as is expected of them," the former Ghana ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro said.

Dr Tamakloe is serving a suspension term for flouting internal mechanisms in resolving party disagreements.
