Battling It Alone -The Attitude Of Strong People

Battling It Alone -The Attitude Of Strong People
07.07.2016 LISTEN

One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” [John 5:5-]

The story of this man underscores hope and perseverance. Hope and perseverance means nothing when a person sits idle to expect a miracle. Miracles happen under an overflow of anticipation plus working out vigorously. Enough said. Have you come to think of it; why this dude’s name was not mentioned? I’m yet to chance on a review that brings up his name. History does record without locus, recordings are based on substance.

Today is the sixth day in the seventh month, in the year 2016. You know your age. You are very much aware of the sum up of profitless hopes you’ve accumulated. You are not getting younger any longer. You have deceived yourself into believing life begins at 40. You add up with a consoling phrase, where there is life there is hope. When are you waking up from this folly circus?

You have seen many governments. None have made your life better. You still think your breakthrough is connected to a political party’s electoral fortunes. All your energies are exerted on championing the cause of that party, your hopes have never for once fed you a ball of kenkey and a herring.

My brother and sister, it is okay. Give your hopes a spirited action. Pause and reflect on the man who laid beside the pool for 38 years. Your miracle may come though. Do you know the hour? Would your age at that period resonate sense? And what if the man Jesus (miracle) does not bump into you? Would you become a petty nagging-wailing invalid (failure)?

You decide it all.
