Say No To Illegal Duplication

Say No To Illegal Duplication
01 JUN 2016 LISTEN

The issue of fake ticketing has been a concern of the government . Over the years, Ghana has lost thousands of cedis as a result of illegal duplication of tickets.

These monies go into the pockets of duplicators, at the expense of the state. Especially in games involving the Black stars. In the case of the Ghana premier league, most of the teams are suffering because of the issue of fake ticketing. There has been several measures made by both the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the minister in charge of sports to curb the situation by arresting duplicators.

Though the issue of duplication is becoming alarming, It is one of the issues the sports minister Nii Lamptey Vanderpuye seems to be fearlessly fighting against. It is of no wonder he insists that extra security measures be taken. To reduce the stealing and loss of revenue to the state during matches involving the Black stars.

However, some students of the Ghana Institute of journalism (GIJ ) in an effort to help curb the situation, has come up with an advertisement emphasising the need to buy original tickets. The students who claim to be stakeholders, believe the fight to stop the duplication of tickects will be realised if much attention is given to the issue. And they will do everything in their capacity to help stop the issue.

The advertisement exposes football loving funs to original and fake tickets . This they believe will go a long way to sensitize and create awareness. They again called for the support of the Football Association and the minister to fight ticket duplication.
