NPP Re-motivate yourselves for power – Osei-Kyei Mensah to NPP MPs
MAY 24, 2016 LISTEN

The Minority leader in Parliament has urged the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament (MP) to work hard for the party ahead of the November 2016 polls.

Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu acknowledged it will take more than speech to ensure the NPP emerges the winner at the end of the election.

This comes after the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo rounded his tour of the Volta Region, the World Bank of the governing National Democratic Congress.

In his own words, Mr Akufo-Addo told the chiefs and people of the region that he has come to bridge the gulf between the NPP and the people of the region ahead of the general elections.

Addressing a meeting held to take stock of the party’s performance in the nation’s chamber, Mr Mensah-Bonsu called on the minority MPs to put in the necessary sacrifices required by the party.

He disclosed the recent bye-elections held in the country have taught them the needed lessons for victory in the upcoming elections

Touching on the performance of the minority in Parliament, the NPP leader of the House advised it is important to compare the performance of the current regime of MPs and those in the past with the view of repositioning the party.

“Occasionally, we need to juxtapose the performance of the two eras to identify the deficit if any in the performance of the current group,” he said.

This he believed, will help “remotivate ourselves to win power which is the ultimate consideration of any political contest.
