Tema Central will fall to NDC

Tema, May 4, GNA - The Tema Central seat would be won by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) because constituents want a more dedicated person who appreciates their aspirations.

Mr Ben Dzakuma, Tema Central Constituency Chairman of NDC, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that "enough ground" has been covered within four years to dislodge the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

"Tema Central is no longer a safe seat for the New Patriotic Party because after four years of its occupancy, constituents are earning for a change that would bring about the kind of leadership they deserve."

According to him, Ms Ebi Bright, the NDC parliamentary candidate, has already won the hearts of the constituents due to her humility and maturity.

Mr Dzakuma said in 2012, when the constituency was created, the NDC gave itself sometime to prepare the grounds to annex it in 2016.

"Although we planned politically to take the seat, it is now clear that we owe the people a moral obligation to rescue them from the poor leadership being offered ny the current Member of Parliament."
