Prophecy - The Business of "Possess Your Possession"

In a country where prayer is the key and miracle the rule, no business empire flourishes readily than those built on faith. You know there are people who worked so hard that, it is not fair to let the Enemy seize and keep their rightful possessions in the dark, the future. As 2015 is ending, thou shall not slack in prayer. It is time to grab a holy book, especially the commonly accepted one from Mideast that puts you in the shoes of KalyBos to declare "I KNOW EVERYTHING"

Accordingly, not only do we have prophets with powers to undo the fossilized past, they can literally unlock your alleged seized possessions from the future with incisive prayers. Therefore, as Ghanaians we do not joke with prayer. You know, Satan is withholding our delivered financial, health, educational or marital goodies as well as developmental solutions from us. So, to "possess our possessions" we must pray.

As a result, like MTN, everywhere you go there are prophets on TV and radio channels and not forgetting the innumerable ones off the media. Like KalyBos, they know and can do everything until you stepped into the shoes of Ahoefe Patricia, to ask, "DO I LOOK FAT IN THIS JEAN". In other words, do Ghanaians really have possessions locked up in the future? As usual, this article is to interrogate the theme.

Let us start with the appreciation of the meaning of Prophecy and contrast it with that of an Event. According to religion, prophecy is the revealing of hidden contents as Events of the future bound to happen with precision and certainty. As appealing as the definition of prophecy is, let us also look what an Event is. We shall dwell more on the meaning of an Event in order to scrutinize the infamous heralding seducing theme; "possess your possessions" since that is essentially what prophecy is all about.

Event is an occurence in the spacetime continuum fabric of the Universe. This means an Event happens at a place at a time. Time and place are the two indispensable cardinal axis of an Event. Events could be natural or social per the initiator. For instance, eclipse, earthquakes, tsunami, floods are natural events. War, elections, owning house, being employed, becoming rich, marrying, nation's development are social events.

However, whilst these events are evidently different, they all have the spacetime continuum in common; the fact that they occured or will occur at a place at a time concurrently. This means events never happen in vacuum. With these definitions of prophecy and event, Ahoefe Patricia's question is worth paraphrasing again. Do you really have any possessions (successions of events) hidden from you by the Enemy, and kept faraway in the future?

Well, let us go on. The human world is a collection of Events. It is actualization of potentialities. As such, the action initiator is inextricably linked with the outcome events in the scheme of things. This means human beings are inseparable from what happens in their lives individually or collectively as a Nation. As Nature itself ruled out certainty and absolutism for man, the best humanity can do is cast his acclaimed knowledge in probablity.

Therefore, we can only predict. Prediction is the projection from the evaluated intractable uncertainties of the present, which make us conscious of the associated risks inherent in the transformative journey of the initiative actions to materialize an Event; of which a succession of them become possessions. See, let us get into the shoes of Ahoefe Patricia again, is there truly a succession of event called possesions independent of the initiator (the human being)? Is the future a dark room where the alleged Satan hid such possesions that we need a torchlight of prayer to search?

Earlier, I said that the two indispensable cardinal axis of Event is time and place of occurence. In other words, the events as initiated by humans define spacetime continuum. The Events in succession called possession were not hidden at that place at that time for collection. Just that it happen at that time at that place via the initiated actions. There is nothing in our lives until we make it happen individually or collectively. The future if it exists at all is a vacuum, which we fill with our initiated actions to define an Event. Prayer cannot fill the future with anything.

Neither is it already filled by "someone" for you to prayerfully pluck from like stretching out your hand to pluck mango on its tree. You only transform whatever you have through well-coordinated actions. As our lofty dreams are executed via actions, hence making it an Event, it only collapses into the past and become fossilized. There are simply no possessions in the future to possess. All is happening in the present. If Ghana must develop, it must be now because the present is endless.

Therefore, man is always in the present, and always collapsing dreams into the past through his actions. If the initiated actions of humans at a place at a time make an Event, then there is no such thing as succession of events constituting possessions hidden in 2016 or the future indepedent of the individual or nation. In addition, if there is no future with our financial, good health, marital and developmental solutions locked up as possessions, then, the prophet has nothing to talk of. It means prophecy is a sham. It is a sham.

"Possess your possession" which literally means the prophet or religious leader had prayerfully plucked the seized possessions from the hands of the spiritual enemy and handling them to you spiritually is as vacuous as the response "I receive it" by faith. In their numbers they are quarantining the whole nation with the primitive illusion, and prescribing intellectual quiescence for the masses in the name of spirituality.

Prophecy is therefore one of oldest society's commonly approved myth perfected in religion and perpetrated on the unsuspecting masses.

Thanks to Christianity - the religion that specializes in this swindle business of "possess your possessions". As if human beings really have possessions (succession of events) seized and hidden away in a dark room called the Future.

On the national and continental level, statistically, as others are thinking to intiating actions to make things happen to define an Event, and in successions called development, we are here praying to possess our possessions in the midst of all these resources. We cannot make use of our talents and resources as a nation and continent even to our own liking. All we know to do best is to be crying that we are praying to possess our possessions.
