NPP’s ‘Carpetbaggers’ Are Those Being Sanctioned – Karbo

A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Anthony Karbo says those who are “carpetbaggers” fighting the interest of the party are the persons who are currently being dealt with by the party.

Karbo said as it pertains in every other party, there are certain moles within the NPP whom he stated are in bed with enemies of the elephant family to destroy it.

However, Karbo in an interview with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Thursday said “We are hell bent on prosecuting the agenda 2016-we are going into election 2016 to set a record and nothing will stop us”.

The party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council, both upheld a recommendation by the Disciplinary Committee to indefinitely suspend Mr Afoko for allegedly scheming against the party’s interest ahead of the 2016 elections

His suspension further deepened the cracks within the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition, resulting in some divisions and violence in the party that saw the killing of a party member in Asawase in the Ashanti Region.

Afoko who has vowed to fight back his suspension has said every action taken against him is ultra vires, since none of the party’s processes set to effect his suspension as the chairman were done legally.
