Ho, Oct. 11, GNA - A petition filed on behalf of five members of the National Democratic Congress at Agotime-Ziope by Zenith Law Consult has asked the Committee vetting aspiring Parliamentary candidates in the Volta region to address alleged forgery by Mr David Kwame Dzreke, an aspirant for Agotime-Ziope.

The petition signed by Mr Emile Atsu Agbakpe, made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said Mr Dzreke allegedly forged the signatures of five members of the NDC in the Agotime-Ziope Constituency to 'defraud and evade the requirements in clause E (2) of the Party's 2016 Parliamentary elections guidelines.

The five, whose signatures were allegedly forged were mentioned as Mr Emmanuel Ashiabi, Mr Stephen Akpaglo, Mr Kofi Sobo, Dzorkpui Wilson and Madam Eunice Ahiaho.

The petition said Mr Akpaglo, whose membership card was allegedly stolen reported the alleged theft to the Constituency Secretary of the Party.

It said after close of filing of nominations for the Constituency primaries, details of Mr Akpaglo's particulars on his membership card were found on Mr Dzreke's nomination form with Akpaglo's signature said to have been forged.

Mr Dzreke was one of three candidates vying for the ticket of the NDC in the Agotime-Ziope Constituency.

Mr Dzreke did not respond to calls and messages in attempts to have him comment on the allegation.
