Municipal chief executive of East Akyem municipality, Simon Peter Asirifi has pledged to win the Abuakwa north constituency from the incumbent opposition NPP candidate, Hon. Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu in the 2016 elections.
He made this known at Akyem Tafo after picking nomination forms to contest for the parliamentary slot slot.
The MCE assured the people of his continious support to the development of the area.
"The people within the constituency can testify to the developmental projects that have been undertaken, completed by the government and if they give us another chance we will do more " he stated.
Mr. Asirifi who is popularly refered to as "eastern general mosquito" however appealed to the people to elect him to represent the NDC in the 2016 elections.
The acting constituency chairman, Martin Asare called on him to ensure his supporters campaign devoid of political insults and has pledged to be neutral in their line of duty as far as the primaries is concern.
