GCPP Fights Back At EC: GCPP Becoming A Third Force In Ghanaian Politics
03.08.2015 LISTEN

The Great Consolidated Popular Party is fully aware of the rules and regulations governing the functions and activities of political parties in Ghana, i.e. the Political Parties Act 284. Of course that is how it should be, a party which is 19 years old is capable of knowing that. It is also capable of playing the kind of politics that can make it a third force in the Ghanaian politics.

Having embarked on that politics with its capable leader Dr. Henry Herbert Lartey and growing the party with people, it has become enviable to those who think they should have been the 3rd force.

To be a powerhouse in Ghanaian politics cannot be achieved on a silver platter. It can only be achieved through hard political work of reaching out to the people.

The Electoral Commission has come out with a report on offices of various political parties and in that report, the GCPP can boldly say we have offices in all the 10 regions of Ghana and also in some districts.

Since that report, the party has embarked on opening offices in most districts and has also maintained all its regional offices and all this are in fulfillment of the Political Parties Act on Offices.

On the point of a party being national in Character, the party has executives in all the 275 constituencies in Ghana. It has also elected Regional executives and about to elect its National Executives on the 26th of September 2015 which will take place at the Cultural Centre in Kumasi. At that conference, the party delegates as well as friends and sympathizers will add up to 2,500 people.

At this point we challenge the media and those loose talkers who vomit into the media without any basis or facts to crosscheck from the district electoral officers and Regional Directors of the Electoral Commission about the work GCPP has done in fulfillment of having constituency and Regional executives.

GCPP submitted its political party registration in February 1995 and had its final certificate on the 18th June 1996, it took almost one and half years before having the final certificate.

The Great Consolidated Popular Party wish to state to all its Executives and members in various regions and constituencies across the country to be resolute for the party for its leader Dr. Henry Herbert Lartey to become the 3rd force in the Ghanaian politics in order to establish law and order and sanity.

DOMESTICATION IS STILL THE BEST POLICY FOR GHANA AND AFRICA
