Traders at the Kejetia Terminal clad in red bands, red dresses and chanting war songs have hit the streets demonstrating against the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).

The Traders are demonstrating over what they describe as ill treatment by the KMA boss, Mr Kojo Bonsu, in the registration of traders before the demolition of the terminal.

The traders are accusing city authorities of being bias and side stepping procedures in the allocation of shops.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti regional minister Peter Anarfi Mensah has waded into the brouhaha over the Kejetia market projects calling on the assembly to address the issue immediately.

According to him, the assembly must dialogue with the traders over the allocation of shops at the Kejetia market.

Anarfi Mensah told Ultimate FM that the KMA must consider the concerns of the traders.
