Nostalgic deja vu - "DUMSOR" , dead or alive?

Feature Article Nostalgic deja vu - DUMSOR , dead or alive?
APR 6, 2015 LISTEN

If you are skeptical about where you have been living for the past days , don't be, we are still in Ghana.

Brightness, shine, glow and less worry about "dumsor" has been the order of the day. Our being has a sense of restitution after all but not for long?

Appreciation for what?
Religiously and ethically, I may express my gratitude for the generally uncut power supply. I recognize the compassion Jesus' death has merited us, a tip of our old power delicacy. My fear has been to accustom my thoughts to this probable flash in the pan. Nothing lasts forever but good things are the yearn of all and sundry and we don't stop wanting them till we get them.

Nostalgia
After a long load shedding, I now appreciate the saying, you don't know what have till you loose it. I respect and love the somewhat dignity the Easter season has exhaled over our power supply. It's sad every day can't be Easter or as special to attract constant power flow.

Normalcy restored?
Ghanaians have been visited by their dreaming desire- uncut power. While others could opine to it as political enticement, I dignify it as a touch of humanity after all this rigid rumble load shedding timetable. A typical day of pondering over power outage, stressing and depressing thoughts of the tow dumsor can inflict is hibernated.

The Uncertain source
Cote d' Ivoire has been honourable to hold us down in our time of need. I recognize plans supposedly put in place by government in the medium and long terms, patience seems the only available option. But with maritime issues springing up against Cote d' ivoire it is not advisable to be leaning on a cold shoulder. More importantly, Ghana needs self sufficient and efficient short term load packages to steer its own affairs.

My first love
The preliminary stages of dumsor was far better and now the 12hours on/ 24hours off is simply dismantling and unacceptable to the core. I despise to get use to this aching situation and its continuum effect. Pampered, i fear the timetable might even get worse . I would rather say I yearn for a mediocre 3 days on / a day off. How awesome, Ghanaians will appreciate but can it be that magical?

Deja vu
It's hard to feed our minds with the torture of been preyed with power cuts again after an exclusive and refreshing time of glow, brightness and pamper. Quite sad the case as it is real. It can't be deliberate for us to be where we are now but certainly, irresponsibility has a part to play generally speaking.

World Cup, Christmas and now Easter tabled before us some sort of power holidays but are we going to maintain the status quo? Go back to a damning, retrogressive and business disturbing crisis of load all the time? As Ghanaians, we have been loyal and understanding and crave for more of that in our spirit and conscience to contribute to our peace for restoration.

It is not suppose to be the same old story. We appreciate the seasonal constant power supply but plead our resilient hope is not misconstrued as a coping-anything-goes- Ghanaian.

We love our country and will stand by it unconditionally. We expect a genuine and sublime surgical attention to our power woes so dumsor can have no place in our repertoire.

We have, The Risen Jesus Christ to extol for Easter birthing stability in power supply. This period gave a feel of what the past has been and how good the future can be. Ghana is smiling now but when do we stop to start grambling?

OPERATION!!

Easter Power, Everyday Power .
