The aspiring Executives of the La dade-Kotopon NDC have commended the President for launching the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) programme which is going to solve the unemployment problems of the country, and for that matter, La Dade-Kotopon.
The new team, popularly known as the Alhaji OB team, made up of AlhajiIsmailaObodai Annan (Asp. Chairman), Hon. FifiKomey (Vice-Chairman), TettehCaternor (Secretary), Jake Adjei-Kwei (Organizer), Lawrence Lamptey (Propaganda Secretary), Janet Kafui Yao (Women Organizer), Harry Balasu (Youth Organizer),and Prince OkoAddo (Treasurer), aims at wrestling power from the non-performing incumbents whose activities are not in the best interest of the party and its grassroot.
The YES programme has a bright future for the youth and intends supplementing programmes like GYEEDA, Youth in Agriculture, LESDEP programmes, etc. This would create a whole lot of opportunity for the youth of Ghana and the people of La.
Social vices that arise as a result of unemployment would be solved by the massive participation of the youth in the programme.
We urge our leaders and the leadership of the youth authority to be up and doing;be corrupt-free;and observe value for money in every transaction they undertake under the programme; and to explore other areas to beef-up ideas to support the newly launched programme.
We urge the opposition to be responsible, critical and constructive in their criticism of the programme. Any destructive move will be exposed fiercely. It was unfortunate to hear Sammy Awuku, a young man once described as 'bed-wetting' in his Secondary school days' by a school-mate of his, to wash down the importance of the YES programme, just to score political points for the clueless-desperate opposition (NPP).
Let all Ghanaians support the programme for a successful economy.
