Deconstructing Alan
15.07.2014 LISTEN

An apprentice handpicked by a divisive leader and was largely apathetic during an important chapter in Ghana's history like a petition to advocate for election reforms, now has the audacity to run for President. A serial failure from one project to anothera quitter at that.

His NDC-type propaganda of floating voters won't cut. As for his "handsomeness" I beg to differ, after all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One man's meat is another man's poison. Nice GAKE propaganda though!

Unpatriotic and Disloyal
Here is a man who quit NPP and found he had no fan base to form his own party so decided to come back in humiliation.

Then there was the rigging of Election 2012 which led to a petition drawing worldwide TV audience.

This unpatriotic person never even bothered to show up to offer support. His country was on fire with the prospect of civil war but he went AWOL. He simply quit. The petition-dodger has no love for Ghana yet wants to rule it because he is so 'handsome', going by his handful of followers and NDC propagandists.

Great leaders like Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt and Charles de Gaulle all fought hard for their countries when there was crisis. None of them bolted faster than Usain!

Fight-or-flight Response
Putting him on the psychologist's couch of a fight-or-flight situation, he chooses the latter and that explains the quit mechanism in his brain. Under a stressful situation he perceives threat and runs away. This dates back to his childhood and explains why he cannot stay at one job. Quitters never achieve anything in life.

He cannot face the present or reality and can relate to only the past (he could have been president in 1996) or in the future when he is counting on floating voters to put him in office so as to practice bipartisan politics which in the Western world comes with a caveat.

Bipartisan politics
Bipartisan politics where politicians cross the aisle to cut deals for a bill or a package which will not normally pass is prevalent in Western democracies and mostly issue-related like, help us build the gas pipeline plus this and that and we will help you with immigration reforms i.e. scratch my back and I will scratch yours--it carries a poison pill. In Africa it will lead to bribery and massive corruption by parliamentarians.

African politics on the other hand is tribal-related like the NDC voting on tribal lines. What this novice probably wanted to say is that if ever, ever elected, his appointments will be based on competency rather than tribal or political affiliations. Where is the mentor who schooled him to become president?

Attributes of presidential candidates
Merely being a protégé of a past president does not qualify one to run for office as demonstrated by the examples below:

There is a lady whose husband ruled for 8 years and if she decides to run, it will be based on her own achievements in serving her country as top politician and not as a former First Lady with experience.

Another one's strong point was as a Community leader in Chicago's inner city which he parlayed into a presidential position.

The petition-dodger's tenure as ambassador was mired in financial controversy.

He messed up big time with the cassava project meant to help the poor and needy.

United Akan front
At a time Akans should unite and rule to use our resources for development, this narcissist is being manipulated by NDC to divide Akans as evidenced by the positive raves and validation he gets from the dreaded NDC rented-press.

This will backfire on him and with such an attitude will never be President, not even in his own village.

He already drank the NDC Kool-Aid and bent on working for them against Akans. But this NDC-sponsored egoist will fail miserably in that quest.

He is anti-Akan and could even be jailed for pretending otherwise.

The Akan Sellout Law
Any Akan who collaborates knowingly or unknowingly with NDC to fracture Akan unity in a way that may give them advantage over us especially at the polls.........

Any Akan leader who accepts bribe from the NDC during election campaign with the aim of turning over our resources to them........

Any leader who signs a Peace Accord with NDC for them to turn around and slaughter Akans a la Kenyasi........

Any Akan who colludes with NDC to dip their sticky fingers in The Heritage Fund............

A breach carries the maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and in some instances, abdication may apply.

The Second Coming of NDC "Asomdwe-hene" from GAME to GAKE.

He is widely seen as another "Asomdwee-hene" (king of 'peace') who the NDC is using to fracture Akan unity at the polls so as to hold on to power.

They are investing heavily on him through finances, radio and print with the quack pollsters churning out false figures of his floating voters---figures that only suckers believe!

Hail him the next NDC 'Asomdwe-hene'! We all know what the NDC did to their last king.

The Cassava-project guy forgets that timing, strategizing and endurance lead to success in life.

Delegates Conference
This WTO-failure carries too much baggage which weighs him down---easy fodder for the population.

The egoist is going to be "SPIO'd" at the delegates' and then consigned to the political dust-bin.

He is a train wreck waiting to happen.
