Beleaguered founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby has stated unequivocally that he will not appear before the party's Disciplinary Committee hearing his case.
Dr.Wereko-Brobby who has been suspended for making comments considered to have brought the NPP into disrepute says recent utterances by Ayikwei Otoo, a member of the Committee renders it work null and void.
He was speaking on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen programme Monday.
Dr. Wereko-Brobby said the Disciplinary Committee of the NPP can be equated to a court of law; therefore for any member to give judgement on the matter even before he appears before the committee makes it prejudicial.
Tarzan as he is affectionately called could not fathom why Ayikwei Otoo, a senior lawyer and a former Attorney-General could make public disclosure in a case that is yet to be determined by the National Executive Committee of the party.
He alleged that some of the members on the Disciplinary Committee are appalled by Ayikwei for making those comments.
When asked about the repercussions of his decision to boycott the Committee, he said "that is up to them, I will not cooperate with anybody on anything. They can go on".
He added that the NPP does not food on his table, stressing he will lose nothing if he is sacked from the party.
Dr. Wereko-Brobby bemoaned the level of intolerance in the NPP; a party he said professes to be the apostles of democracy.

The party should not exceed permissible and tolerable levels of tolerance and accept this traitor back. This man has demonstrated insincerity beyond all imaginable standards and continues to annoy the followership of the party. He is more of NDC than NPP supporter and poses great risk and insecurity to NPP. Such a person must be summarily kicked out of the party in the interest of party unity and security.
