Mr Emmanuel Wilson, National Organizer of the People's National Convention (PNC) on Thursday said the party would soon restructure and reorganize existing structures across the country.
“The party will organize a workshop for all organizers of the party to deliberate on the way forward”, he added.
Mr Wilson who disclosed this at a press conference in Accra, expressed concern about the poor electoral performance of the party's 2012 elections where it lost one of its two seats.
Mr Wilson congratulated Mr Alhassan Azong, the Member of Parliament elect for Builsah South in the Upper East Region for salvaging the image of the party by having a representation in Parliament
He said the poor performance of the party in the just ended elections could be attributed to unconstitutional conducts and failure of some leading members of the party to pursue their personal interest.
Mr Wilson thanked all party members across the country for its dedication and efforts and urged the leadership to revisit the mandate given to the party by the last congress to ensure the unity of the Nkrumaist family.
He said the party commended the Electoral Commission, the security agencies and all stakeholders for successfully conducting the 2012 general elections.
“Having led the PNC agents into the operations room of the electoral commission and cross-checking all results that came in the various constituencies, the results announced by the Electoral Commissioner truly reflected what transpired at the 275 constituencies “he added.
The party congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for the mandate reposed in him by Ghanaians and urged the President to fulfill its promises for the accomplishment of the Better Ghana Agenda II.
