By GNA

Winneba, Sept. 20, GNA – The Efutu Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have commended President John Dramani Mahana for choosing Mr Paa Kwesi Bekoe Ammissah-Arthur, the Vice President, as his running mate for the December elections.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Mr Kojo Asmah Bondzie, Constituency Chairman of the Party on behalf of the entire Executives and copied to the Ghana News Agency.

The statement indicated that the executives felt elated and happy for the honour done their comrade, adding that their association with Mr Amissah-Arthur dates back in the 80s when as a young Minister he mobilized resources to help fight the upsurge of elephantiasis around Ayensu River Basin at Worababa, a community in Efutu.

He also supported the aged and through his initiative soft loans were granted to women traders in the area during that time.

They said, their confidence in his ability and professional competence as an economist was no doubt a manifestation of his concern for the ordinary Ghanaian.

They assured the President and the Vice President of their unflinching support to campaign vigorously for the Party to win the December elections.
