Newly formed political party, the National Democratic Party (NDP) is set to launch its campaign for the 2012 elections next month.
This was disclosed by the Interim Chairman of the party, Dr. Josiah Aryeh who indicated that they would reveal the names of the big wigs who are solidly behind them at the launch.
He however fell short of mentioning whether or not former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings would be at their launch. Dr. Aryeh added that they are however making frantic efforts to get her involved.
The NDP was rumoured to have been formed by the former first family - The Rawlings and is made up of disgruntled members of the ruling National Democratic Congress who have over the years expressed disappointment in a number issues with how the party was treating the founder and his family.
Speaking on Accra based Joy Fm, Dr. Aryeh said plans are far advance for the successful launch of their campaign. The party already has its jingles playing on a number of radio stations ahead of the campaign launch.
