Juaso (Ash), Aug 31, GNA - Voters have been urged to vote massively for the Progressive People's Party (PPP) to transform the economic fortunes of the nation.
Mr Oduro Frimpong, the party's parliamentary candidate for Asante-Akim South, said the December polls would provide the people the opportunity to bring about real change and make life better for them.
The PPP government would roll out human-centred policies to ease the hardship and suffering and ensure fair distribution of the national resources.
Mr Frimpong, who made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Juaso, said Ghana deserved better than what the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had offered over the past two decades.
The PPP, under the visionary leadership of Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, is the only party that could bring hope and restore confidence to the people, he said.
Touching on his chances in the upcoming elections, he said he was optimistic of victory.
He would cause major political upset by snatching the seat that had been held by NPP since 1996.
The people, he said, had well received his message of change and would give him the mandate to represent them in Parliament.
He appealed to the people to work together to make the general elections peaceful.
