
Accra, July 31, GNA – The Management of Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Tuesday extended its condolence to the people of Ghana, President John Dramani Mahama, Mrs Naadu Mills and the bereaved family on the death of President John Atta Mills.
A message issued in Accra on Tuesday by Brigadier General J. B. E. Guyiri, acting Chief Fire, copied to Ghana News Agency said:"We wish to express our deepest sadness and grief following the demise of our beloved Father and dear President John Evans Atta Mills. This is indeed unprecedented and has left all of us as Ghanaians in a state of astonishment, shock and perplexity".
It said, "In extremely sad situation such as this, one can only pray for the response of his soul and take consolation in the fact that he is peacefully resting in the bosom of the Lord Almighty.
"With humility, even as we mourn the loss of a great leader we are all obliged to extend our warmest congratulations to President Mahama on his elevation to the high office of the President of the Republic of Ghana."
