Koforidua, July 27, GNA - The Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of People's National Convention (PNC), Nana Oboadie Opambour Boateng Bonsu, has suggested that Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development be made the Vice to the new president.
He said his observation of the work of Mr Ampofo when he was the Eastern Regional Minister, proved that he has tolerance for the youth and would create opportunity for them to have access to the presidency.
The PNC Youth Organizer made the suggestions in an interaction with the GNA in Koforidua on Friday.
Nana Bonsu said Mr Ampofo has cordial relations with people and personalities across the political divide and could help forge good working relations between the presidency and the various political groupings in the country.
He said having worked as the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two terms and also as District Chief Executive, Eastern
Regional Minister and Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Ampofo could easily have the sympathy and support of the rank and file of the NDC members at the grass root level across the country.
“He has the experience to be an asset to the Presidency of Mr Mahama” Mr Bonsu said adding that Mr Ampofo could also easily win a lot of the popular votes for the NDC in the Eastern and Greater Accra Regions.
