The Western Regional Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo has descended heavily on the leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) describing the current turbulence in the party as sheer nonsense and stupidity which only exist in the national capital, Accra.

Speaking on  Peace FM  mid-day news on Sunday, Mr. Aidoo said functionaries and supporters of the NDC in other regions and constituencies had solidly closed their ranks to retain power come December 7.

He said Accra, which hosts all the party bigwigs, has become the source of problems for the NDC, stressing that the rank and file of the party hurl insults and make wild allegations against each other.

Mr. Aidoo revealed that while functionaries of the party in the hinterlands were resolute and united to promote the cause of the party to win more votes, gurus in the party in Accra were busily fighting each other.

'Insults, acrimony, division, indiscipline and stupidity have become the order of the day in the party,' he said, adding 'the NDC was not built on these high levels of indiscipline and nonsense.'

According to the Western Regional Minister, the current negative developments in the NDC would go a long way to affect the electoral fortunes of the party, if not checked.

He therefore called for an end to the internal wrangling in the party in order to win the elections.

According to him, the NDC, in just three years, had achieved an unprecedented record in Ghana's political history as compared to the NPP's eight-year tenure.

He appealed to party functionaries to preach the good work of the electorate.
