Gomoa Nyanyano (C/R), April 28, GNA - The Presidential Candidate of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom on Thursday began a two-day campaign tour of the Central Region.
Addressing supporters at Gomoa Nyanyano, Dr Nduom called on Ghanaians to give the mandate to the PPP on December 7, to revitalize the fragile economy of the country.
He said the bad policies and management of the economy by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) had brought untold hardship to Ghanaians.
Dr Nduom, accompanied by his wife, Mrs Evon Nduom, said “Ghanaians have tasted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NDC before” and asked Ghanaian voters to reject the two parties in December polls and replace them with the PPP.
He said a PPP government would prioritize education, quality health care, water, sanitation and decent accommodation for Ghanaians.
Dr Nduom said a PPP government would provide fishing inputs to fishermen in the country to enable them to enjoy better lives, adding that, the scrapping of the Fisheries Ministry by the NDC government has dealt a big blow to the fishing industry and promised to restore it when given the power.
Dr Nduom also promised to make education free from Kindergarten to Senior High School level, to enable Ghanaian children of school going age to be educated.
Nana Dr Obeng Wiabo V, Chief of Nyanyano appealed to the supporters of PPP to refrain from acts which could cause political violence.
The Chief and his elders commended the PPP Flag bearer for starting his tour from Nyanyano and hoped that his campaign message would be accepted by Ghanaians.
